Topic for
Written Essay:

What are the most important offerings young adults are looking for from a financial provider? Make suggestions on how the Credit Union can be more attractive to young adults.

Please limit your essay to 500 words or less. Either mail-in or drop-off your completed essay package to the Towson Branch marked Attn: Scholarship Committee at 23 W. Susquehanna Avenue, Towson, MD 21204. Packages can also be emailed to: scholarshipcommittee@bcefcu.com. Completed packages must be received by the deadline of April 30, 2020. This date is for receipt not postmark. Incomplete packages will not be evaluated.

Note: Proper grammar, punctuation, and spelling is a factor in the judging of the written essays.

Topic for
Video-based approach:

Create an original 60-second video to attract young adults to join the Credit Union that could appear on a social media newsfeed.

Round up friends for actors, scout out locations, and make sure your camera's battery is charged! Put your best effort into your video; it could be used in our social media efforts! Once you film your video, feel free to edit it however you would like. There is plenty of free editing software available online. After you have finished editing your 60 second video, upload it to YouTube.

Note: Please make sure the video is uploaded as "Private." To do this, select the "Visibility" tab, and select "Private." Private videos can only be viewed by people with whom you have shared the video link.

Please email your completed scholarship package (application, attachments, and the YouTube link) to  scholarshipcommittee@bcefcu.com. Completed packages must be received by April 30, 2020.

Topic for
Photo-based approach

Take an original photograph that captures the concept of "a trusted partnership" which is one of the Credit Union's core values.

Think about how to capture the essence of the theme. Your photo doesn't have to be directly related to the financial services industry, but it does need to capture the assigned theme. Put your best effort into the photo; it could be used in our social media efforts! It will take as much effort as those who submit essays and videos! Remember, your picture has to be an original photograph. Email the photograph as part of your completed scholarship package (application and attachments) to scholarshipcommittee@bcefcu.com by April 30, 2020.
