How do I use my card?
At a merchant or store, you can use your card by selecting “credit” at the merchant’s card terminal. Also, you may obtain a PIN (personal identification number) by calling the Customer Service number on the back of your card and following the automated instructions. Once you have a PIN, you can select “debit” at the point of sale. At an ATM machine, you would insert the card and use the PIN to access the prompts to receive cash. If you are making a purchase online or over the phone, just make sure the billing address you provide matches the one registered to your card. Some of these options are subject to transaction fees.
Where can I use my card?
You can use your card anywhere the Visa logo is accepted in the U.S. Just look at the checkout for the brand mark that matches your card – Visa® or MasterCard®. Plus, your card can also be used for online and phone purchases.

What if I forget my PIN?
If you forget your PIN, contact Customer Service at the number listed on the back of the card.
Can I use my card at restaurants, hotels and car-rental agencies?
Yes, but keep in mind many service-oriented merchants automatically factor in an additional percentage to cover any gratuity you may leave or incidental charge you may incur. When using your card at restaurants, it’s best to have an available balance that is 20 percent greater than your bill, and when using your card at hotels and car-rental agencies, check with the merchant to find out how much, if any, they over-authorize their transactions.
Can I use my card to pay at the pump at gas stations?
Yes, however, an authorization of $100-150 may be held on your account. This authorization could remain on your account for several days. To avoid this over-authorization, simply pay for your gas inside the service station.
What is the minimum age to purchase a Reloadable Card?
The minimum age to purchase a Reloadable Card is 16. If there will be an adult primary cardholder, a 13 year old may have a secondary card.
Will this card help me to establish credit?
No. Even though you have given us your Social Security Number, this will not be reflected on your credit report.
What if I move and need to change my address?
The billing address on the card must be the same as your physical address. To update your address, either call Customer Service at the phone number listed on the back of the card, or visit GoCardServices.com, or contact BCEFCU at 410-828-4730 (1-800-234-4730) and report the address change to the Visa Department. You will be sent an address change form to sign and return.
How can I know what transactions have cleared, or what my balance is?
To use the mobile phone application for the card, or to check balances and other transactions online, first register your card at GoCardServices.com. Then you will be able to set up Direct Deposit, see transaction history and holds, and see a current balance, either online or through the mobile app, 24/7.
What if my transaction is declined?
If your transaction is denied and you believe it should have been approved, contact Customer Service at the phone number listed on the back of your card.
What can I do if there are fraudulent transactions on my card?
If you notice transactions on your account that you have not made, contact Customer Service at the phone number listed on the back of your card immediately. A live agent will follow a standard dispute process to investigate the fraudulent transactions and help remedy the situation. Funds will be returned to your card once the dispute process is resolved.
What if my card is lost, stolen or damaged?
No worries. If your card has been lost, stolen or damaged, call Customer Service at 1-866-261-7741. A live agent will walk you through obtaining a replacement card. Keep in mind, there will be a $9.95 fee assessed to your card balance to replace your card. It may take up to 10 business days to receive your replacement card.
How do I add funds to my card?
You can add funds to your card at the Credit Union by making a deposit at one of our branch locations.
Funds can also be added to your card through MetaBank’s Services by:

- Mobile Money Deposit (MetaWallet App)
- Western Union
- Money Gram locations
- Green Dot locations

Load Limitations (Primary Card Only):
Maximum Card Balance at any time is $10,000.00
Total number of times you can load your card is 3 times per day
ACH/Direct Deposit Credit maximum is $5,000 reload per day
Minimum load at participating financial institution is $10.00
Maximum load (transfer from available balance in BCEFCU account) or at participating financial institution or Mobile Deposit is $5,000 per day
Cash Deposit maximum reload is $950.00 per day
Card Withdrawal Limitations:
ATM and Point of Sale cashback maximum is 3 transactions totaling $500.00 within 24 hours period
Over-the-Counter Cash Withdrawal maximum is 3 transactions totaling $2,500.00 within a 24 hours period
$2,500.00 at each debit/credit point of sale.
No Card Purchase fee at BCEFCU
Monthly fee $4.95 will be waived if you make at least one load per month
Reload at BCEFCU, or by Direct Deposit is free. Reloads at other locations (Western Union) vary by financial institution. Contact participating merchants for details.
Foreign Transaction Fee (Online or In-Person) is 3% on the total amount of the transaction in US Dollars.
Money Pass – free
ATM out of Network (non-Money Pass machines) fee and Over the Counter Cash Withdrawals are $1.99 each. Non Money-Pass ATMs may also charge their own surcharge, which is an additional fee.
Replacement Card Fee
$9.95 if card is lost or stolen. Replacement card will arrive within 7 -10 business days.
