Membership can be rewarding!
Baltimore County Employees Federal Credit Union sponsors an annual scholarship program that runs from November to January each year. Not a member yet? Open an account by October to be eligible to enter.
2025 Scholarship Awards Program
The 2025 scholarship is now available. All applications must be received by 11:55pm on January 31, 2025. Incomplete applications will not be evaluated.
Eligibility Requirements
Applicants must be a primary member (not a joint owner on parent or guardians account) in good standing with Baltimore County Employees Federal Credit Union. To help as many young members as possible, previous winners of a scholarship award from BCEFCU are not eligible to enter.
Applicants related to the Official Family (Board, Volunteers & Employees) are not eligible to enter.
Applicants must be entering their freshman through senior year of college or trade school. This scholarship is for undergraduate programs only. Verification is required of acceptance/ enrollment to a college, university or trade school for the upcoming school year and award checks are made payable to the school for benefit of the student.
Judging Criteria
Will be based on the required material listed under “ltems to Include” and applies to all applicants. Please note: proper grammar, spelling, and punctuation is a factor in the judging of the essays.
Items to Include
- 500 or less word essay relating to the essay question provided by BCEFCU
- Copy of high school transcript with GPA* and acceptance to a qualified institution or school registration form* for high school seniors
- Copy or print out of current GPA* for returning college students
- Letter of recommendation* from (teacher, pastor, counselor, coach, etc.)
- List of academic honors, extracurricular activities, community service* within the past 2 years.
