The Credit Union also collects information as a result of
transactions between the Credit Union and such individuals
as a result of providing our products and services. This

debit cards, credit cards, automated teller machine (ATM)
cards, and electronic transfers (for example, Audio Response/PC
Access, or automated clearinghouse (ACH) transactions.)
Information received from consumer reporting agencies.

What You Can Do To Help Protect
Your Privacy
Baltimore County Employees Federal
Credit Union is committed to protecting the privacy of its
members. Members can help by following these simple guidelines:
Protect your account numbers, card numbers, PINs
(Personal Identification Numbers) and passwords. Never keep
your PIN with your debit or credit card which can provide
free access to your accounts if your card is lost or stolen.
Use caution when disclosing your account numbers,
social security numbers, etc. to other persons. The Baltimore
County Employees Federal Credit Union will not assume responsibility
for member copies of transaction receipts, payroll stubs,
and other personal data left in public areas of the Credit
Union during business hours.
If someone calls you and asks for your account number,
you should beware. Official credit union staff will have
access to your information and will not need to ask for
it. In certain instances, where we have partnered with firms
to assist us in providing member services, you will be asked
to provide nonpublic personal information only when you
initiate the call. For example, requesting a 24-hour phone
operator to take a loan application by phone.
It is important that we have current information
on how to reach you. If we detect potentially fraudulent
or unauthorized activity or use of an account, we will attempt
to contact you immediately. If your address or phone number
is not current, contact with you may be delayed.
