Earn While You Learn

The Basics of Budgeting

One of the basic money management skills that young adults need is the ability to wisely spend their money. It is much easier to manage your spending when you have a clear picture of how much money is available to spend, and what expenses are anticipated during a short-time period, such as a month. A budget is the cornerstone of a solid financial foundation. It will show you where your money is coming from, how much money you have, and where it is going.

The presentation below will give you basic information about two different types of budgets as well as examples so you can set up your own budget. Finally, you’ll learn some tips for creating a successful budget. Are you ready to get started?
